SYNOPSIS :

Awaskinawason is composed of the Atikamekw words awacic (child), aski (land) and takonawason (to be responsible for). It is a call to respect the great circle of life.

BIOGRAPHY : 

Anthony Dubé, member of the Atikamekw community, was a high school teacher in Manawan from 2016 to 2020. He has been an Atikamekw translator since 2008 and a radio host since 2017. He collaborated in the creation of the first online encyclopedia in North America in an Indigenous language (Atikamekw), with the objectives of promoting and revitalizing his mother tongue, as well as contributing to Reconciliation between peoples.
