SYNOPSIS :

Ulivia Uviluk looks at the possibilities offered by the Internet for Inuktitut, a complex language whose dialects are being modified from generation to generation and which is being threatened by the dominant languages. Is the Internet an ally or an enemy?

Selected at the REGARD festival (Quebec, Canada) for the Jury Prize, the Best Documentary Prize, the Audience Prize and the FIPRESCI Prize.

BIOGRAPHY:

Ulivia Uviluk was born in Kuujjuaq on August 21, 1998. She lives between Montreal and Kangirsuk, Nunavik. She has a real passion for fashion. Since her first participation as a director with Wapikoni, Ulivia wanted to show how stylish Inuit winter clothing is. She participated in the Montreal Native campaign against discrimination and was the local coordinator for the Wapikoni workshops in Montreal and Kangirsuk.
