Lichens Are The Way

In this observational film, at the crossroads of the contemplative and the scientific, filmmaker Ondřej Vavrečka and the two protagonists, scientist Trevor Goward and his partner Curtis Randal Björk, tell us about their attachment to lichen in all its forms. Lichen are a little-studied living organism resulting from a symbiosis between fungi and algae. A formally audacious film, Lichens Are the Way, offers us an extraordinary cinematic experience and journey that invites us to question our relationship with the non-human world.
