Object of Study

Objeto de estudio

In the late 19th century, an American explorer, Robert Peary, believed that the only way to reach the North Pole was by having children with the Inuit, in order to create a ‘super-race’ that combines their strength with Western clairvoyance. In Object of Study, filmmaker Raul Alaejos hopelessly seeks an encounter with the descendants of this ‘super-race’. The film offers a confused and hesitating attempt at representing Peary’s living posterity.
