SYNOPSIS :

I come from a people – the Fangs – where the dead never leave the living. But since we became Christians, we can no longer hear them. Lost between what I know and what I see, between the here below and the hereafter, I lead an initiatory quest that allows me to reveal our history, one that has not been transmitted.

Selected at IFDA – Amsterdam (2021), at the États Généraux du Film Documentaire de Lussas (2022), and at St-Louis Doc, where the film won the Grand Prix du Jury (medium-length films).

BIOGRAPHY :

A Belgian documentary filmmaker originally from Gabon, she graduated from the Lussas Documentary School and has made several films, including Le Club des silencieux (2014), which is about deafness in Gabon. In her new documentary On Zenith’s Edge, she shares with us her search for her ancestors and for ancient traditions, from Brussels to Ebolo, her home village, examining finely missing pieces of history and colonization.
